I am 18 and i have some of the responsibilities of being an adult, paying car insurance, best buy bill i pay for all of my stuff for the most part. I have to ask to do everything i don't mind telling them where i am who i am with or what i am doing but i am tired of asking. I have the responsibilities yet they wont treat me like an adult, and my dad says he doesn't have to care about my feelings he is the man of the house and my mom says i have an obligation to this family. I am quite fed up and have been for a while and i am ready to move out. I know it will hurt them but i am going to have to move out eventually and i have the opportunity to move in with my aunt and have that freedom, im paying for college all by myself as well, my mom said i can have my freedom if i pay for it but i can have the same pay for it at the same price somewhere else that i like better i don't know what to do or say to them help? How do you tell your parents you are moving out?
';Mom, Dad I'm moving with Aunty Becky'; *slams door shut*How do you tell your parents you are moving out?
I think first you really need to check your budget. If right now you are only handling SOME of the responsibilites of being an adult, you need to figure out what ALL of them would cost you and then double it. There are a lot more random expenses when you're just starting out and also you want to have a little money always set aside as a backup. I moved out 2 years ago and WOW there were so many things I wasnt prepared for.
If you do all of this and still think you can afford it, the best thing to do is to just tell them. They are going to ask about that budget, and you need to be prepared to prove to them you can afford everything. Just being honest is the fastest way to get things moving.
this is the day they been waiting for. the hard part is asking them to let you move back in, after you fail miserably.
get out. ur 18, and old enuf to do whatever u want.
