How my character in my new story should act! She's a witch!!!?

My new story is about this girl named Scarlette Nighty. She found out that she was a witch on her 17 birthday. Weird stuff has happened to since then. About a year later, she just found out why all this stuff has happened to her, like being a witch and all. Now she's going to a boarding school that she thinks is normal, but it's a boarding school for mythical creatures.

What I need of you is what kind of powers do you think she should have.

And how she should use those powers when needed. Like reading minds, moving stuff with your mind, or when she wants something really bad, she gets it! I need help badly.

Oh and how she should act as a witch.

I really don't want my readers borded, then they will stop reading my

story! So help!!! How my character in my new story should act! She's a witch!!!?
U could turn it into a love story.

She has a strong power but she hasn't discover yet like she has the power to read people mind and protect someone when she want to.

Then when she went to that school she meet a lot of friends (they are witch power, too) and an annoying guy (she and that annoying guy would argue a lot) but then that annoying guys and she fall in love when they are trying to save the school for witch that had been taking over by mythical creatures.

And for her personality she should be a bit shy, nice, kind to other, be herself and funny.

Add me if your story success

She needs to go green!
normal in real life yet blood drinking of her enemys at night... ;-]
If we answer, then it's not YOUR story anymore...why don't you decide how your character should act?
i dont know
I think she should be limited to one power. And like, all of the other witches (and/or wizards) should only have one to two powers at the most. This way she will overcome obstacles and stuff like that...instead of being overpowered and ridiculously strong.

And I guess Telekinesis, moving objects with her mind. Then maybe she could meet a guy who has Telepathy and fall in love with him and he reads her mind and finds out and cute stuff happens...XD

OR transfiguration/transformation where she can turn into an animal...
make the witch like a stereotype, make her seem mean, but she's really the nicest person u will ever meet!!! make them think, but then they become very surprised!!!
Well a good thing would be to walk through walls, move stuff with her brain, and have super hearing. At school, she could listen to the girls half way across the halls listening to her and then like move something with her brain to get them scared. Hope this helps ! : )

Uh, with a name like Scarlette Nighty is this supposed to be romance? Because Scarlette Nighty sounds like lingerie. Anyway, since most of the people in your audience will probably be women between the ages of 15 and 50, you want her to act like somebody that they could get along with so they won't send you angry e-mails. Have your character wonder if she should use her powers at all since they are not available to everyone. Nobody really likes an arrogant witch.
she has to fly in a broom and be green with a hat
Give her the power of magic. Sorta like Sabrina the Teenage Witch. You can steal some of her ideas and change them up a bit.
I had a similar problem in one of my stories, and this is how my creative writing instructor helped me fix it:

Think of a realistic skill that somebody might have, say being able to find lost things. They just know, ';Oh, your coat is on the couch,'; or ';I'm pretty sure your keys are on the kitchen counter.';

Now take that realistic skill and blow it up. So instead of being able to just have a knack for finding things, the character can find anything that's lost, like a forgotten idea or a hidden memory or something.

When you take something realistic and put it on steroids, it keeps things believable and makes it interesting for the reader.

As for her personality, that's what makes her your main character. There's plenty of sites that give you character-building techniques.

Best of luck.
